Exploring the Universe (Upper KS3/KS4)
In At-Bristol’s iconic Planetarium students will be challenged to investigate how scientists develop theories from observational evidence. The life cycle of stars will be examined, plotting the past, present and future of Sun-like and high-mass stars. Students are encouraged throughout to think about how astronomical observations enhance our understanding of the Universe. Depending on the age of students, your presenter will either discuss how our knowledge of the planet Mars has changed over time, or demonstrate that observing all wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum reveals a hidden universe. Suitable for upper Key Stage 3 / Key Stage 4 (ages 12+) and adult audiences.
