Special theme days

These specially designed days challenge and excite students, providing enriching and cross-curricula experiences through a range of innovative activities including visiting experts in the field. Special theme days must be booked at least a month in advance and are available throughout the academic year.

Cost: £10 per student including entry to At-Bristol.

Duration: 4 hours.

Minimum group size: 20. Maximum group size: 60.

Maths Mission

Enjoy countless ways for new mathematicians to engage with numbers in a totally unique and exciting way! Developing essential team-working and problem-solving skills, pupils take part in an exciting adventure to unchartered territory using their understanding of shape, space and measures as vital tools to success.

NEW-Forensics

Forensic science is guaranteed to grab the attention of many students-TV programmes such as Crime Scene Investigators just touch the surface of this fascinating branch of science. In this specially designed day, students work in our laboratories to learn the basic techniques of crime scene investigation and forensic science, including fingerprinting, casting and DNA profiling, and analyse evidence from our specially prepared crime scene.

High Flyers

High Flyers is designed to introduce students and teachers to the fascinating science of flight. Students will learn how planes fly and follow a specially designed trail around At-Bristol's hands-on exhibits. They will take part in 'the drop challenge' and assisted by an expert from the field, they will work in teams to build their own aircraft and test it on our new Launch it exhibit.

Brain and body

Students will discover the amazing capabilities of the human brain and test their skills with a mind-bending day of challenges and conundrums, including an introduction to the senses, learning, thinking and memory skills.
