Science Goes Live on the Radio!
For the first time for both At-Bristol and Bristol Community Radio (BCfm), on Monday 15 March there will be a live science experiment happening that listeners at home can join in with!
In collaboration with the nationally celebrated Brain Awareness Week (running 15-21 March) the experiment will get listeners to quite literally test their brain skills and make their own ‘brain’. There will also be a phone-in for listeners to ask brain-related questions, and maybe even find out the weight of their own brain…
The live experiment will be on Tom Bigwood’s Live and Local show, lead by John Polatch, Learning Officer for At-Bristol. It will be on air at about 6pm and in preparation for the experiment, there will be a slot on this Monday’s show to be told what equipment is needed to carry it out at home.
Says John: “This is the first time we’ve done anything like this so it’s really exciting – the aim is to get as many people at home making their own ‘brains’ and whilst doing so, learn more about what an amazing part of us they are. The experiment is simple enough to easily follow at home so do join in!”
