Bristol
Festival of Nature is an ambitious and imaginative three-week
programme of film screenings, animal encounters, exhibitions, walks,
talks, workshops and competitions for all ages and interests.
Enjoy the wonder
of the natural world through this unmissable series of public events
taking place in a variety of locations in and around Bristol and find
out how we can all help to look after our planet.

The Karl Ammann Photographic Exposition

This photographic exposition of the
Great Apes looks closely at these fascinating animals and also focuses
on the bushmeat trade and destruction of their habitats. Karl Ammann
is a wildlife photographer and conservation activist and a leader
of the campaign that gained worldwide recognition of the bushmeat
crisis in Africa.

Free with a ticket to Wildwalk-At-Bristol
WildWalk is hosting a fascinating chimp art exhibition as part of
its public programme highlighting threats to the survival of the
great apes. The expo features paintings from Billy Jo, Toby and Tom,
chimpanzees rescued from North American zoos, research labs and
entertainment industry, who are now living in a sanctuary run by the
Fauna Foundation. This Canadian non-profit organisation offers art
therapy as one way to help the animals to recover from years of
mistreatment.
The Chimp Art shown in Wildwalk will be auctioned at the end of the
exhibition, with proceeds going to The Fauna Foundation.

public squares are to be transformed into an outdoor gallery throughout
the Bristol Festival of Nature, with the arrival of a major photographic
exhibition "EARTH FROM THE AIR - a bird's eye view" by world famous photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand.
The
120 images, each one 2.5m x 2m in size, capture the characteristics
and patterns of the natural world from a unique aerial perspective,
providing a breathtaking pictorial record of our planet today. The
exhibition is free and is open 24 hours a day.
