Get set for summer this bank holiday with
Explore-At-Bristol
Bank holiday events Saturday 3 to Monday 5 May
It’s May bank holiday and summer is just around the
corner, so hop, skip and jump over to Explore-At-Bristol to get sporty and
into shape for the warm months to come.
Over the whole weekend from 10am to 5pm, all manner of sporty shenanigans
will be taking place with Explore’s special bank holiday Sports day
events. You can guarantee our brain and body will get a thorough work out
while you find out how your muscles work, see balls fly and find out just
how speedy you are.
Once you’ve gone through your paces, prepare for a nail biting second
round in the LoveSport exhibition while you find out the science
behind sporting excellence. You can steel your nerves for a penalty shoot
out, test your coordination with a slam-dunking basketball challenge or
race against the clock for your fastest ever sprint time.
With all that science whizzing around in your head, you really shouldn’t
miss the Fizz, whizz, bang show. Find out about all manner of fascinating
chemical reactions from alchemy right through to a very scientific game of
glue tennis all interspersed with plenty of bubbling potions and shocking
explosions.
If that’s not enough, then a trip around Inside DNA will give you
the low down on the very latest in genetic research or you could even
reach for the stars and travel through space in Explore’s very own
planetarium.
Explore-At-Bristol is open all weekend from 10am until 6pm. All the bank
holiday activities are free with an admission ticket. Call 0845 345 1235
