An amazing world of hands-on discovery, Explore is
a 21st century hands-on science centre combining two floors of
interactive science exhibits with the latest in multi-media
techniques. With over 170 interactive experiences, and the iconic
Planetarium sphere, students are inspired to ask questions,
predict events and discuss their experiences. They will be kept
engaged and entertained for hours!
Educational groups visiting Explore can also book one of our
workshops, follow a specially designed
trail or take advantage of
our on-line resources. |

Your amazing brain
Your brain and body are amazing! But how do they work, and what are
they capable of?
Explore your senses, investigate memory and mental health, travel on a
virtual sperm journey and find out how a baby develops in the womb.
Try the Your Amazing Brain website for lots of activities and games,
as well as a specially designed
psychology trail for use in Explore.

Investigate ingenious inventions, fantastic forces, structures and
electricity.

Investigate light, colour and mirrors, magnets, vibrations and sound.
Play virtual volleyball or appear in your own TV show!
The Curiosity
zone is designed to make science relevant, fun and accessible, and to
get students asking the questions ‘how’ and ‘why’?
