Dominating the floor is the set from the film’s lavish final scene, with
the backdrop of the awesome Tottington Hall, the venue of the film’s
main event: the annual Giant Vegetable Competition. This was the largest
set used in the film’s production and is home to a huge magical
fairground.
Catch the crowd of characters in the midst of a carnival of
vibrantly coloured tents, beautiful carousels and fun-filled fairground
rides. |
|
As the film’s title suggests, rabbits also feature greatly in the
film - see how many you can spot in the fairground set. From prize
bunnies at the hook a duck stall to bunny shaped balloons, they have
been breeding like, well...rabbits!
But that’s not all, the exhibition includes another ten Aardman film
sets to admire. You can take a sneak peek inside Lady Tottington’s
sumptuous home, see Wallace and Gromit’s bunny-laden basement and get a
closer look at Wallace’s new hair-brained contraptions. You can even see
how the furry buck-toothed Were-rabbit was constructed in a
stage-by-stage display! |
 |
 |
A whopping 2.7tons of plasticine was used in the production of the film,
equivalent to the weight of a Land Rover, and each character gets a new
pair of eyes every two months.
Why not come and discover loads more
fascinating facts about this comic adventure film that took four years
in the making! See the TV
advert for this exhibition. |
