Top tips Try 'making' the horse out of matchsticks and have a go at moving the sticks around. Most puzzles are written so that you’ll make assumptions, limit your choices and get stuck in your own traps. Walk around the table and look at the puzzle from different angles. Try to escape your assumptions and look at the horse with 'fresh eyes'. Get rid of the idea that a horse facing the other way must stand with both legs pointing down.
