Informal learning
At-Bristol offers a wealth of opportunities for groups of all ages, abilities and interests - whether a Scout or Guide pack, language school, adult special-interest or lifelong learning group, or youth or after-school club.
In addition to the attractions we offer unrivalled behind-the-scenes facilities including laboratories, computer suites and a TV Studio. A wide variety of workshops and bespoke activities can be run for pre-booked groups; please feel free to call and discuss your ideas.
We run special badge days for
Scouting and Girlguiding groups; to hear of future events please call and ask to be added to our contact list.

ACCESS FOR ALL
At-Bristol is proud to have won Best Disabled Facility in the Group Leisure Industry Awards 2004, voted for by the readers of Group Leisure magazine. We want everyone to enjoy At-Bristol and are committed to providing access for all to our exhibitions and events. Facilities include:

  • free entry for accompanying carers

  • disabled parking next to Millennium Square and in the car park

  • level site and lifts to all floors

  • wheelchair spaces in the Planetarium

  • wheelchairs are available on request

  • disabled toilet facilities in all venues

  • mini loops at the information and ticket desks

  • hearing loops in the Planetarium

  • guide dogs are welcome

  • information for visually impaired visitors

  • Concession rates for registered disabled people

NB. Because of height restrictions arrangements must be made in advance to park vehicles over two metres high.

REFRESHMENTS
Treat yourself to a delicious meal or snack in the Explore café, or in the Firehouse Rotisserie restaurant. Please call for information on meal deals and afternoon tea specials. Group meals must be booked in advance. There is an outdoor kiosk and vending machines are in the attractions. Picnic spaces can be set aside for group packed lunches; again please request this when making your booking as spaces are limited.

Coach drivers and recognised courier guides (in charge of a group) receive a refreshment voucher along with free admission to all three attractions.

GIFT SHOP
The Explore shop offers intriguing presents and souvenirs. Gift vouchers are available for admission or annual membership. You can also shop online at http://shop.at-bristol.org.uk

CHILDREN’S FACILITIES
Baby changing and pushchair access is available in all the attractions. Children under three go free.

OPENING TIMES
Explore is open every day except 24, 25 and 26 December.

10am to 5pm - weekdays during term time (last entry at 4pm).
10am to 6pm - weekends, bank holidays and daily during local school holidays (last entry at 5pm).

Schools: during term time, pre-booked school groups can visit from 9.30am. 

ADMISSION

Scout and Guide groups - one accompanying adult goes free with every five Beavers or Rainbows; every eight Cubs or Brownies; and every ten Scouts or Guides. Please book in advance.
Nursery and pre-school groups: one adult goes free with every five children.

BURSARIES
Bursary visits are available, subject to funding, to subsidise visits from community groups who would otherwise be unable to afford a visit to Explore. To find out more, please contact 0845 345 1235 or email information@at-bristol.org.uk

No advance payment or deposit is required. If you have pre-booked you will pick up your tickets from the Explore Information desk and will enjoy fast track entry for your group.  Visa/MasterCard/Switch/Delta or sterling cheque is accepted on the day. Prices include VAT at 17.5%
